Creator Connect

Terms & Conditions

πŸ† Trend Bonus

This trend bonus goes on top of the published CPM. It goes to a creator whose posts start a genuine trend with the campaign sound, meaning other creators go on to make their own content in the format that the creator introduced. These terms set out how that is assessed, claimed and decided.

1.1One trend bonus is available for the campaign. It is paid on top of campaign earnings and does not count toward the creator cap.

1.2The bonus is a discretionary award, not a payment earned by hitting a target. Meeting every criterion in section 3 makes a post eligible to be considered. It does not entitle any creator to the bonus.

1.3CreatorConnect and the artist may conclude that no post started a trend, and award nothing. That is a normal outcome of a campaign, not a fault in it.

Who decides

2.1Both parties must agree. The bonus is awarded by CreatorConnect, acting on the artist’s assessment of creative merit. No bonus is paid unless both agree.

2.2CreatorConnect decides eligibility, integrity, and whether the criteria in section 3 are met. The artist decides whether what happened is a trend they consider genuine and attributable.

2.3Either party may decline. No reason will be given beyond the clause relied on.

2.4Decisions are final. There is no appeal, and no correspondence will be entered into once a decision has been issued.

Section 3

βœ… What Counts As Starting A Trend

All of the following must be true. If any one is not, the claim fails.

100,000Views on your post
10 / 5Pick-up posts / creators
200,000Combined pick-up views
30 daysPick-up window

3.1Eligible post. Your post was submitted to the campaign and approved. It stays live and public throughout.

3.2You were first. Your post is the first use of its concept or format with this sound. If a materially similar post using this sound existed before yours, you did not start it.

3.3Your post reached 100,000 views. Organic views on the originating post itself, as verified by CreatorConnect.

3.4Independent pick-up. At least 10 further posts, by at least 5 different creators, published after yours, using the official sound and recognisably following your format.

3.5Those creators were not paid. Posts submitted to this campaign, and posts by anyone you paid, asked, incentivised, are related to, or control, do not count toward clause 3.4. Other paid creators using the sound is the campaign working, not a trend.

3.6Combined pick-up reach of 200,000 views across the posts counted under clause 3.4.

3.7Traceable to you. The pick-up must follow from your post, not merely happen at the same time. Duets and stitches of your post are the strongest evidence. Credit to your handle in a caption or comment counts. Unmistakable copying of a distinctive element you introduced counts. Other people using the sound in an unrelated format does not.

3.8Within 30 days. Pick-up posts must be published within 30 days of your originating post.

3.9The sound moved. Use of the official sound increased materially, and stayed up, in the period after your post, as measured by CreatorConnect.

3.10Clean. No purchased or botted pick-up of any kind.

Sections 4 and 5

πŸ“‹ Claiming The Bonus

Reposts of your own video do not count. Other people must make their own content with the sound, in your format, for it to count as pick-up.

4.1The bonus is not awarded automatically. You must claim it. No post is assessed for the bonus unless a claim is made for it.

4.2A claim must include: at least 10 pick-up post URLs with handles and dates and one paragraph describing the format and why those posts follow it.

4.3Claims close 14 days after the campaign closes. Late or incomplete claims are not considered.

4.4The burden of proof is on the claimant. CreatorConnect will verify a sample of what you submit. It will not assemble your case for you.

4.5CreatorConnect and the artist may award the bonus on their own initiative to a post nobody claimed. Nothing in these terms requires them to consider unclaimed posts, and no creator can require them to.

5.1Only one bonus exists per campaign. Once awarded it is exhausted, and no further claim can succeed, including a claim already in progress.

5.2All claims received by the closing date are assessed together and one decision is issued. The bonus is not awarded on a first-come basis.

5.3Where two claims are both strong, the bonus goes to the earlier originating post. It is not split unless CreatorConnect and the artist both choose to split it.

Section 6

πŸ’‘ General

6.1The bonus is paid through your usual CreatorConnect payout method within 7 days of the award.

6.2Taking part in a campaign creates no entitlement to the bonus.

6.3These terms sit alongside the Campaign Eligibility Policy and the campaign brief. Where the brief and these terms differ on the bonus, these terms govern.

6.4CreatorConnect may correct obvious errors in these terms and will publish any change. No change applies retrospectively to a claim already submitted.

6.5The winning creator will be identified to entrants on request after the award, unless they ask not to be named.

Every post submitted to a campaign is also subject to the Campaign Eligibility Policy. A rejected post earns nothing and cannot claim the bonus.
